Kevin Grosvenor

Partner, CEO

In 2009, Kevin, with brother Kurt, cofounded Efficium, an energy conservation company that assists companies in decreasing their utility and maintenance costs. Efficium has worked with many large companies including Tyson Fresh Meats and has expanded its portfolio from natural gas energy efficiency to include the marketing of electrical power quality and efficiency, wastewater and water filtering systems and anaerobic digesters. In 1992, Kevin acquired the company Executive Technologies and expanded it to four locations to become one of the business technology market leaders in Iowa.

Kevin works with clients to plan, coordinate and execute various joint venture sustainability projects. This includes interactions with financial partners, government entities, other stakeholders and the public. He attended the Universities of Nebraska and South Dakota.

William Riggle

Partner, CFO

Bill’s background includes all aspects of accounting and finance, corporate accounting, regulatory compliance and financial reporting. He has an extensive track record of successful projects including the acquisitions, system conversions and a long history in the renewable energy field including compressed natural gas, hydrogen, wind energy and solar projects.  He developed multiple anaerobic digester facilities converting animal waste to renewable natural gas.

Bill manages the company’s finances, including debt/equity, fund raising, gas offtake agreements, legal, insurance, financial planning and reporting, and management of financial risks. Bill has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from John Carroll University.

William Charlton

Partner, Biology

Will has 19 years of experience in the anaerobic digester industry on 35 digester projects, with various feedstock varieties and all existing technologies with a focus on optimizing biogas plant operations, research and development, and microbial health of biogas facilities. His experience includes project development, feedstock procurement, mass balance calculations, plant start-up and operational monitoring, post digestion solids conditioning, fertilizer and soil amendment production, as well as digester evaluations. Projects ranged in size from 0.45 – 20 million gallons per day (municipal). Will is a regular speaker at the International Biomass Conference and various other related conferences throughout the United States.

He handles the microbiology, plant science/system process design and oversees ongoing gas production of company plants. He has a degree in organic waste management technologies from Olds Agricultural College, Alberta, Canada.

Paul Nygaard

Partner, Engineering

Paul specializes in the design and implementation of innovative industrial and municipal wastewater treatment solutions, anaerobic digesters, power quality improvement and energy reduction systems. This includes creating project objectives, reviewing project proposals, technical studies; cost estimates, specifications and detailed plans; and conferring with design build teams to help assure effective performance standards. He is a co-developer of a high-rate, high-solids loading anaerobic digester technology. Paul has a bachelor’s degree in civil/environmental engineering from Michigan Technological University and is a licensed professional engineer.

Kurt Christensen

Partner, Digesters: Mechanics

Kurt has more than 10 years of experience in the soil amendment field and seven years as a partner with Will Charlton in the anaerobic digester industry where they worked on more than 20 digester systems. He specializes in the mechanical aspects of anaerobic digestion with responsibility for ensuring the biological and mechanical processes of a digester work cohesively. He works on technical overviews, planning, getting feedstocks through the process and end products to market. Kurt also brings several years of logistics expertise to the team.

Kurt Grosvenor

Partner, Business Development

Kurt has spent over 30 years as a “serial” entrepreneur, specializing in startups, new business development, new product development, direct sales, sales channel management, marketing, trade shows and management experience dedicated to achieving profitability and delivering outstanding value to customers.

Kurt sells conditioned fibers, sources new feedstock agreements and manages marketing, including strategic planning, finance, and customer service. He has a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Iowa State University.

Kevin Andrade

Program Development Executive – Commercial

Kevin is an experienced executive in the Engineering and Construction space who has worked on global projects.  Focusing on commercial and project execution for mining, industrial and infrastructure projects, Kevin has worked with technology partners to deliver turn-key solutions with a focus on emission controls and sustainability.  In addition to project oversight, Kevin has worked as an executive in a clean-tech company and is a developer of new technologies, providing strategic and commercialization advice. He is a licensed attorney in Canada and the U.S.

Cuneyt Vardar

Program Development Executive – Technical

Cuneyt performed major projects with full P&L responsibility and leadership of all activities related to the execution of capital investments starting from business modelling and planning. Have a proven track record of delivering major projects on schedule and within budget. Contracted and managed high budget projects totaling 32.8M man-hours in 50+ Projects.

Areas of expertise include mining & metallurgy, oil and gas, petrochemicals, power generation, infrastructure, utilities, glass, cement, gypsum production, as well as biotechnology and food & beverage industries.
